- This is an anthology set featuring many different comic characters.
- Only 8 of the cards (and their variants) are Spawn-related. There were no Spawn-related cards in Series 2.
- The standard cards were inserted in direct edition copies of Wizard Magazine, and the "Large Format" cards were inserted into newsstand editions of the magazines.
- The "Gold" cards were given to retailers 1:25 for issues ordered of the magazine. They are sealed in a plastic case and numbered to 10,000.
- The "Platinum" cards were gifts from Diamond Distribution and have an edition size of 100 sealed in plastic cases. Additionally, a number of cards have also made it to market that were never encased.
