Johnny Leekley

A cynical and angry homeless man living in the alleys near Spawn. During a conversation on religion amongst the Rat City homeless, Johnny took the stance that religion is for the weak and stupid. He argued with the others until he got fed up and wandered off, but not before breaking Bobby's last treasure from his past - the small crystal deer given to him by his daughter.

Angry with the pain caused to his friend, Spawn followed Johnny and discovered that he intended to commit a robbery with some friends and pin it on one of their own. Spawn confronted Johnny but was shot repeatedly while in the dead zone. Unaware that it existed, Spawn was helpless to fight back. With the help of his friends, Leekley then crucified Spawn to a wall and stole a bag full of his necroplasm (to take back to their leader as proof).

When Johnny returned to his leader (the Freak) with the bag, the Freak stabbed him in the eye and was furious that Spawn was attacked without his orders. Leekley was left to bleed to death while the others prepared for the impending turf war.

Jon

Jon lives with his parents and grandmother in the rural wilderness of Northeast Minnesota. When Spawn's aimless wanderings led him near their home, Jon found him out in the snow and brought him home.

The family showed Spawn hospitality but disappeared in the night. Left alone, Spawn discovered that the family has been alive and unchanged at least since 1840 when a family photo was taken.

Outside, Spawn found a group of hunters being attacked by abnormally large wolves. He intervened and saved the lives of the hunters, and took the eye of one of the wolves before leaving again to wander.

Little did he know that the kind family were werewolves and that it was Grandmother Wolf's eye that was lost.
